NOTE BENE: I just picked up my new digital camera today. ^___^
This past week, I've been back in NY waiting for my spring break to end.
With nothing but school work to do and studying for the upcoming GREs, I've been pretty cooped up.
I did not bring any fabric, needles, stuffing, or thread home with me, so I was very dissappointed when I got the familiar itch to sew something.
Fortunately, I remembered some scraps of fabric I stored in the attic! I checked and indeed I had enough fabric, a single needle, and a spool of thread to make a Flammie plushie from Secret of Mana, one of my favorite video games as a little kid. Flammie is a dragon who you eventually get to ride on to go across the different lands.

I consider this "version 1". As soon as my shipment of faux fur comes in the mail, I'll replace Flammie's hair with synthetic fur to make it look more "realistic".
Somebody better hold me to that.
I really appreciate your saying that it looks professional, especially considering that he was made from scraps and essentially the dregs of my supplies
:-P
Thank you so much!
Although I did play as the Sprite, I think Flammie was my favorite character in the game...
^___^ I'm very glad you like my rendition of him!!
Yeah I read, which is really surprising because it looks like you bought really expensive fabric or semi expensive to make it. Honestly it looks so professional XD and cute <3 The furriness of it makes be wanna be like a little five year old and squeal while hugging it to death and jumping up and down on my bed.
I always played the guy ... but I remember I have had a point record so it was easy to fight against the dragon ... but then my brothers have played the game ... and all deleted ... that's why they hadn't been allowed to play with my things anymore
Oh man, I have great memories of my brother and I playing that while I was in 6th grade and he was just starting highschool. Flammie! So cute, it's amazing what you could make with such few ingredients, so to speak.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
